About Union Dental

Maybe it's a parent juggling a school schedule and a child's first checkup, an adult who has put off a sore tooth for too long, or a grandparent who needs a denture repaired before a family gathering. Often, all three belong to the same family, and they want one dental office they can trust with everyone. That is the kind of care we have built at Union Dental Center. For almost 40 years, we have welcomed Los Angeles patients through the same doors, and we have been part of more than 200,000 successful patient appointments along the way.

Many people ask whether a long history really matters when choosing a dentist. We think it does, because staying in one location for nearly four decades means we have grown alongside the families we serve. Some patients first visited us as children and now bring their own kids. Our goal has stayed the same the whole time: to exceed your expectations with the highest level of care.

That philosophy shapes how we approach every visit. We would rather take the time to explain what we see and what your options are than rush you through a chair. Whether you are coming in for a routine dental exam and cleaning or a more involved restoration, we want you to leave understanding your own smile a little better than when you arrived.

A common concern we hear is, "Will you be able to help with what I need, or will I be sent somewhere else?" Our dentists are graduates of top dental schools like USC and bring almost 90 years of combined experience. That depth lets us offer a wide range of care under one roof, from preventive visits to complex restorative and cosmetic treatment.

Our patients range from young children to seniors in their 80s and 90s, and our oldest patient is almost 100 years old. Every stage of life brings different needs. Younger patients may benefit from dental sealants or early orthodontic evaluation. Adults may come to us for clear aligners, Invisalign, porcelain veneers, or in-office teeth whitening. Older patients often need crowns, bridges, dentures, or dental implants, including All-on-4 and Teeth In A Day options. Because our dental hygienist works closely with our dentists, preventive care and treatment planning stay connected from one visit to the next.

What to Expect When You Visit Us

If it has been a while since your last appointment, you may wonder what a visit here involves. We keep it straightforward and focused on you. Here is what patients can generally expect:

  • A thorough exam and conversation about your concerns, history, and goals
  • Advanced imaging when needed, including 2D and 3D dental imaging and CBCT scans
  • An oral cancer screening as part of our commitment to catching concerns early
  • Clear explanations of your options before any treatment begins
  • Help with insurance and payment questions so there are no surprises

Our on-site dental lab is a meaningful part of the experience. Having a lab in our office supports work like crowns, bridges, dentures, and denture repairs, and it helps us coordinate restorative treatment more smoothly. Our imaging capabilities also allow us to plan carefully for procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, implant placement, and root canal therapy.

Care for Urgent Needs and Complex Smiles

Dental problems rarely happen at a convenient time. A cracked tooth, sudden swelling, or severe pain can't always wait for a routine opening, which is why we offer emergency dental appointments, including same-day emergency appointments for root canal concerns. We treat root canals on front teeth, premolars, and molars, so we can often address the source of pain directly.

Some patients need more than one type of treatment, such as gum care before an implant, or crown lengthening before a new crown. We handle complex treatment planning that brings several areas of care together into one clear roadmap. We also see patients without a referral for services like periodontal care, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and imaging. If you have already completed orthodontic treatment elsewhere, we can provide retainers. We also offer night mouth guards and TMJ/TMD therapy for patients dealing with clenching, grinding, or jaw discomfort.

Making Care Accessible for Los Angeles Families

Cost and coverage are often the biggest questions people have before booking. We accept all major PPO insurance plans, and we also accept Medicaid. If you do not have insurance, we welcome self-pay and cash patients as well.

To make treatment more manageable, we offer third-party financing, flexible payment options, and an in-office discount plan. Our team is happy to walk you through what your plan covers and which payment approach makes the most sense for your situation. We believe that understanding your choices is part of good care.

Being a neighborhood practice in Los Angeles for almost 40 years has taught us that trust is earned one appointment at a time. Whether you are new to the area or have been meaning to find a dental home for your whole family, we would be glad to meet you and help you care for your smile at every age.
